Last weekend, the Lielbārži brothers competed in the 6th round of the Sidecar Motocross World Championship in Germany, where they demonstrated their strength, skill, and endurance — securing a podium finish with 2nd place overall!
The athletes admit that this was one of the most physically demanding race days of the season. The heat and intense pace pushed them to their limits:
“In the first race, we managed to get a good start and held the lead throughout the entire race. We had to maintain a high pace until the very end, as the competition was right behind us — there was no room to relax. We withstood the pressure and crossed the finish line first.”
“In the second race, we started from 5th, moved up to 4th, but we were running low on energy — everything had been used up in the first race. So we decided not to risk our health. We let a few teams go ahead and finished in 6th place.
This strategy paid off — with the combined results of both races, the Lielbārži brothers stepped onto the podium, proving that they belong among the world’s elite in this discipline.
We are proud of our athletes! Their determination, professional approach, and true sportsmanship are inspiring and show what it means to fight until the very end.
